The Falcons open training camp. Football is right around the corner!! So on that subject, I want to pose a question to my blogosphere football fanatics.
Where is Brett Favre going to play?
He is not going to play in Green Bay. But I do believe he is going to play again this year. I’m not surprised by it either. I just never got the feeling from him that he was ready to be done. I think everyone was in his ear telling him he needed to be done, but I just don’t think he was ready. And I don’t blame him. I know he is not the same Brett Favre of 10 years ago, but I have contended all this time that if you put a good team around him and he will still play at an elite level. And with the pool of quality QB’s in the league depleated, there will be a host of teams lining up to sign him once he gets his release from Green Bay.
So, here is my call. Not a big surprise since the Packers have already filed a grievence against them, but I think Minnesota is going to throw a ton of money his way. He’s not coming back for money, but they also have a talented team with the exception of QB. So as much as I would love to see him back in a Falcon uniform to finish out his career where he started it, it ain’t going to happen. I believe after the smoke clears the Vikes will get their man.
