Thinking about my childhood memories the other day has got me in a bit of a nostalgic mood lately. I started thinking about my first car…. a brown 1972 Ford Mustang
I know… not the best looking pony car Ford ever made, but it was all mine. It had a 351 Cleveland engine and would run like a scalded dog. I couldn’t imagine having to keep that tank full now. I worked the summer of 1985 in a metal fabricating shop to save up enough money to buy it, a whopping $500. After I bought it, I quit. It didn’t take long to go through the rest of my money filling that tank, so I had to go back to work bagging groceries to keep my baby’s tank full.
Ok. How about some feedback. What was your first car? Tell me about it. What do you think of my baby?
Later,
Brad

I honestly think the car is beautiful. As soon as I turn 16, I’m getting a Jeep, and it’s sitting in my driveway at this very moment. Not as beautiful as your car, but still a car nonetheless. My car is red, and it’s a Grand Cherokee. The lock on the left passenger side DOES NOT work. You have to manually lock and unlock it. It’s still my car, though.

I like your avatar, by the way. They used to have a billboard along the highway with that picture on it, but they took it down. I was upset. It made me smile every time I passed it. Do you not like the car you have now, or are you wanting change sometimes soon? You mentioned a list for your next car.

My first car was a 1989 Subaru Justy. Unlike your first car, mine barely used any gasoline because it only had 3 cylinders (I never passed anyone.) Unfortunately, I totaled it a month after owning it. I’m a big believer in big first cars now!

I liked my car when I bought it… but my family has outgrown it. I drive a ‘97 Acura 2.3 CL coupe. With two young girls and one still in a car seat, it is difficult getting them in and out of the backseat.
I have always wanted a Jeep, not a very practical family car… but a Cherokee maybe I can work with

the car I’ve always wanted is a ‘67 Red Mustang–a friend had one for sale 2 yrs ago and I really wanted it, but just couldn’t “splurge”. I did drive it though—wide open straightaway….it’s probably good I didn’t get it, might be dangerous
my first car was a deep red chevy nova
I had a freind that had a ‘67 mustang. I have always been partial to that model. My dream car however is a 1970 Mustang Boss 429! Not likely I’ll ever get one. They only made 499 and I recently saw one auctioned off for $100,000.

Hi, I ujust came across this site. I wanted you to know that I have the exACT SAME CAR. i PUT THE HOCKEY PUCK STRIPES ON IT , and 2 after market scoops. ( black) Mine is a 302. I bought it in S.C. 2004 for $1000.00 I drove it back to Ma in hurricane Katrina. WHAT A RIDE!! But as you said, not the best color.. I am having mine repainted, but with the tan interior I can’t figure out what the best color should be. First I thought red but not with thst interior. So now i’m thinking canary yellow, or maybe burnt orange. I also like the dark blue metallic but again with that interior, not sure. Have any suggestions. If you e-mail me I will send you a pix of mine
